About Me
I'm a classically trained film composer (ArtEZ Conservatory) primarily focused on music for documentaries. While having composed for radio, TV, cinema and commercials, I also produced music for artists like "Project United", "Jo Samuels" and "Gabi Saler".
Besides that, I am also an audio engineer with a background in jazz, rock and classical music.
My Workflow
Understanding the project always comes first. Once I understand the vision of the project, there are multiple ways to create the music:
Depending on the size of the project I can work alone and produce music solely with samples and virtual instruments.
For bigger projects I prefer to work with real musicians and a professional production team to have an efficient workflow.
Creating A Mood
I strive for setting, creating or changing the mood of a scene. I believe that film music shouldn't just "double down" on an existing mood, but create another layer of emotion.
Like Cinematography, Color, Costume Design, Editing and Sound Design, the music is "just" another tool, helping the filmmaker to create a complete piece. The emotion before and after implementing music into a scene should be different.
